Analyst (Science Track)

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Analyst (Science Track) will be responsible for supporting technical matters related to the operations, research, and development of wind energy projects. This position will involve a multi-discipline rotation within the departments of Project Planning and Technology and Research and Development, as well as rapid first-year growth.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support research and development of cutting edge wind resource assessment techniques
  • Acquire, review, validate, and analyze data sets, including remote-sensing and turbine data
  • Perform due diligence and create technical reports to support project development and operations
  • Assist in development of software related to project feasibility
  • Interpret and communicate technical information within the team
  • Support ongoing monitoring of current turbine fleet utilizing SCADA
  • Develop new methods and techniques to improve project development, quality, and efficiency

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Report-to manager will be determined per rotation; no immediate supervisory responsibilities

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in physical sciences, computer science, mathematics, or other relevant experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in numerous disciplines
  • Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: expert in Excel; proficient in Word; proficient in Outlook
  • Experience with 3D Drawing software, programming, and computer networking preferred
  • Instrumentation and data collection experience a plus
